I like to paint the objects I've made in ceramic form, making them part of a still life set up, like this one, of Fish Cake.
I enjoy the whimsical and the energy of "things" . In this case, the clock, which travelled to Gallipolli and back with my Grand father, the imaginary book titled Well Well Well, the dog represents love, as dogs do. The cup is a bit wonky because it was made by me and does not have a perfect ellipse. The jug is a green glass jug I'm fond oft. Pink is a wonderful vibrant cheerful colour as an antedote to our otherwise dark world.
I have included some styled shots, including one from a child's room - children like my art, they seem to "get" the whimsy and the mystical.
Materials: thick (impasto on the cake) oil paint on stretched canvas
It dosn't require framing, and is ready to hang.
